At Grounded Therapy, we aim to make the logistics of starting therapy feel clear and supported. We prioritize transparent communication around fees and are here to answer any questions along the way.

Grounded Therapy offers individual, couples, and group therapy, with rates based on each therapist’s experience and training.

We offer a sliding scale and work with select in-network insurance plans, including Aetna and UMR top-tier.

*Fees are determined based on therapist experience and training.

Our team handles insurance verification and billing, for both in- and out-of-network and can submit claims for reimbursement.

What to expect in your first session.

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable or even a little intimidating and that’s completely normal. Your first session is simply a chance for us to get to know you, begin building trust, and talk through what brought you here and what you’re hoping for moving forward.

Here’s what you can typically expect:

    • We’ll talk through your mental and physical health history, current concerns, and any relevant medications or past treatment.

  • Goal Setting —

    • Together, we’ll identify what you’re hoping to get out of therapy and what support would feel most helpful.

  • Treatment Approach —

    • We’ll explore therapy options that fit your needs, including referrals or coordination with psychiatry when appropriate.

  • Insurance & Costs —

    • We’ll verify your coverage and review any copays or deductibles upfront.

  • Questions & Next Steps —

    • You’ll have space to ask questions, share concerns, and make sure the fit feels right moving forward.

  • Individual Therapy

    Affirming care built in, not bolted on. Surgery letters available. You won't have to explain yourself here.

    A judgment-free space to explore your relationship with sexuality, intimacy, and desire, at whatever pace feels right.
