Hi, I’m Kate Mills
Clinical Intern
I'm a clinical intern completing my training at Grounded Therapy. I believe that meaningful change begins within a safe, supportive relationship, and I bring a warm, collaborative presence to every session. My approach is grounded in the idea that you are the expert on your own life. I see therapy as a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin to make sense of the patterns, emotions, and experiences that feel overwhelming or stuck.
I draw from a range of approaches including person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed practices. In our work together, we might explore how your thoughts and behaviors are impacting your daily life, process emotions and past experiences, or build practical tools to help you feel more grounded and in control. I try to balance insight with action, so that you come away with both a deeper understanding of yourself and real, sustainable change.
I particularly enjoy working with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I am committed to creating an inclusive, affirming space for clients of all identities and backgrounds, and I bring that to every session.
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and finding the right fit matters. My goal is to meet you with curiosity, compassion, and respect, wherever you are in your process.
I also offer low-cost therapy options. If that is something you are interested in, please reach out through the consultation form.
