Hi, I’m Alyssa Romo

Marketing Manager and Intern Coordinator

I'm currently pursuing my Master's in Social Work at New York University, where I'm building a strong foundation in evidence-based social work practice. I'm completing my internship teaching sex education and pregnancy prevention to adolescents in under-resourced communities across New York City, work that has deepened my commitment to helping people build healthier, more empowered relationships.

Before NYU, I graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology summa cum laude. At Columbia, I conducted research on stress reactivity in college students and co-rumination in romantic relationships through the Columbia Couples Lab, which gave me an early grounding in how our closest relationships shape our wellbeing.

Being Mexican, Chinese, and Jewish, I bring a multicultural lens to everything I do. I take genuine pride in my ability to connect with people from all kinds of backgrounds, and I resonate deeply with the complexity each person holds. I have a real curiosity for understanding others in a way that helps them feel seen, and that curiosity is at the heart of how I show up in every session.
